Just received the following email from the McNeese Athletic Department:
Admins: If this is the wrong place feel free to move, but this pertains to LSU, so I put it here.

Dear Valued Season Ticket Holder,
We are writing this letter to thank you for your continued support of McNeese Football. We know that without loyal supporters like you, we would not be able to be as successful as we have been. We appreciate your support and ask that you continue to show your support for your Cowboys.
Our goal as an athletic department is to be able to provide the best situation for our student athletes to compete, while taking into consideration the thoughts and schedules of our loyal ticket holders. With that in mind we are asking for your input on a situation that has surfaced. Due to the extreme interest in the LSU/Alabama football game on November 5 and the recent announcement that their game time has been set at 7:00 pm, we are surveying our fans to see if the Cowboys vs. Colonels game time on November 5 should be moved. Currently we are looking at a 2:00 pm kickoff on Saturday November 5.
We understand that there are multiple fans that support both the Cowboys and the Tigers, and we want to do our part in providing the opportunity to support both teams. We understand that McNeese has a tradition of 7:00 pm kickoffs and we are very protective of that tradition. This instance is in no way the rule, but rather the exception, due to the national implications the LSU/Alabama game possesses. We are very proud of our nighttime kickoff tradition and have taken every measure in the past, and will continue to take every measure in the future to ensure this tradition is protected.
I would like to assure our fans that no decision has been made and that the input you provide will be a valuable piece of information used in the decision making process. The link below will provide you with a one question survey as to whether or not you feel moving the game time is a good idea, and would attend. The answers you provide are completely confidential and will only be able to be accessed by McNeese personnel. Should you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us at 337.562.4MSU or via email at athletics@mcneese.edu. The survey is scheduled to end Thursday, October 27 at 11:59 pm.

I wish ULM would do this every Saturday for the LSU games.

That is very cool of them to gauge customer interest and realize there may be interest in both games by their fans.
Good Job McNeese.

I really like our AD, he definitely wants whats best for the program and realizes we can't compete with LSU on Saturday nights.

I love how that guy says the night games are a tradition.

As a McNeese grad, I am very proud to see this.

As a McNeese alum and die-hard LSU fan, this is an awesome thing.
Shows how the ability to support two teams (on different levels) is good for our state in the long run. The McNeese administration should be applauded for really "getting" their place on the radar and capitalizing on it when they can.
Good for them

I agree totally. Think the Cajun-tards in Lafayette would ever consider such a move?

Very cool of McNeese. This is obviously not something they would do very often, but the upcoming LSU-Bama game is of unusual interest. I suspect a lot of folks in SWLA would have one heck of a day hitting their tailgate, watching the Pokes, swaying to Jolie Blonde, and then convening at watch party for the SEC clash. Not bad!

Smart business on their part. They know revenue will take a hit due to the interest in the LSU game.

Nothing. BHP does this in every thread he can. Looks for the most minor of flaws. Tried to do it to me yesterday. He enjoys trying to make people he doesn't know or will never meet laugh. He thinks it enhances his e-cred.
