michael ford undeniably got the doghouse treatment for pretty much 2 games for his fumble. will the same happen to JJ? im doubting it

Ford did not take the ball up field. Apparently missing the read in those games. I don't think it was just the fumble. When a defense stretches a RB wide causing a loss of yardage, it bothers Miles more because the RB failed to cut back underneath and fight his way back to the line of scrimmage. Downhill running.

True he did redeem himself with that big play but IMO he did seem a little off before that. I hope he can pull it together for Bama because I think he will still see significant pt.

I don't believe that was during the same drive. I believe it was during the next drive. He did 2 straight drives during that stretch, I believe.

I don't think that has anything to do with his question. Ford had been a beast before he fumble and still went to the bench for 3 games. It usually doesnt' matter to Miles how good you are, if you fumble, you will be penalized,

With that said, He did only play JJ for 1 series after so maybe he will. I doubt it.

What's your point? Are you advocating that JJ be benched for two games for the sake of "fairness" relative to Ford?

If so, you should really run that by the coaches.

I think it was the next play. 15 yard fask mask penalty and then the TD.

Les hates fumbles. LSU recovered the fumble, the play was negated by a penalty, and JJ tossed a TD on the next play but he saw limited playing time after that. I was surprised that he saw so little playing time after that given that the game was well in hand and it was clear that Auby wasn't going to put points up on our D.

absolutely not. somehow, someway les has made this 2 qb system work this season. all hands on deck for the bama game. just sorta sucks that ford gets the shaft while jefferson comes away from it with seemingly no on field punishment

Spencer Ware fumbled against Oregon and saw no bench time. If Reuben Randle fumbled, how long do you believe he'd be
Benched?

Ford caused the fumble, knocked it out of JJs hands.

then JJ moved his head to put facemask in front of defenders hand. Saved the day really.

I think Miles pulled JJ because Auburn expected him to run, which he did most of the time. They did a good job of shutting him down in that aspect, and that damn option still wasn't working (probably never will). He caught Auburn by surprise with that TD to RR. Maybe the coaches felt Auburn wasn't going to get fooled again.

Are you positive that is the reason Ford saw his time reduced? Maybe it was said, I but was under the impression it was just assumed. Either way, they two situations are hardly comparable, if for no other reason the differences in the positions they play.

I heard them talkin about this during the game saturday. Danielson said he talked to Miles about Ford not getting much PT the last game. Miles told Danielson Ford did not have a good week of practice. With the stable of RB's LSU has, my best guess is if one of them has a bad week of practice, they get moved towards the bottom.
