Tim McCarver = Genius!

Did anyone catch McCarver's gem last night around the 7th or 8th inning? Rzepczynski came on in relief for the Cards, prompting Buck to mention that his teammates call him 'scrabble'. He then records a K for the third out, and McCarver chimes in with, "It's a five letter word - S-T-R-I-K-E."

McCarver is awful. Very few decent baseball announcers around anymore. I can't take him and Buck, one of the reasons I ain't watching it this season

Just watch the game you nancy. People let announcers bother then too much. I don't.. Then again I'm awesome.

there are a lot of really good baseball anouncers out there

The TBS coverage with John Smoltz and Ron Darling as the color guys was so far superior to the Fox shite with Buck and T-Mac, it's ridiculous.

He also confused Scott Feldman with Mike Adams even after Feldman had been out there for a while.
