Will he get a sniff from pro scouts as a possible tight-end, H-back, Brad Smith, Randle-El kinda guy?

I think he camps with a team as a QB, then gets cut.

I seriously doubt it. Probably would have helped had he been playing any of those positions during his time at LSU. How well can he catch a pass?

He has the athletic ability, but not the makeup.

Not at QB, possibly can do some things in the CFL, but that is a stretch at QB. WR/TE would be a stretch, maybe his best chance to at least get into a camp

Maybe so maybe not.

I am going with the latter for now.

He would make a good tight end. I don't know if he could block in the running game of pass protect. But he will never be a starting QB in the NFL or any other league.

With mobility becoming increasing important in the NFL, its a possibility that he could make a practice squad somewhere.

He may play on practice squads in CFL but not on Sundays. Whataburger on Sundays maybe.

no the nfl generally isn't a place for a player to learn to play a position unless he has an outstanding skill such as lightning speed and JJ really doesn't have an attribute that sticks out worth rolling the dice on.

His best bet would probably be to play in the CFL for a year or two. He has all of the physical tools, but his decision making is just too slow. I imagine that this will just kick in at some time for him, and then he could get a look in an NFL camp (with some politicking from LSU friends) when that happens.

What position could he possibly play? Maybe another Terrell Prior kind of TE project, but I highly doubt that.

I think he can do as well as Campbell did with a little more coaching. JJ has great athletic ability. Campbell was HORRIBLE his Fr-Jr years at Auburn.
