Please post 'em if ya got 'em.

Crock pot, boiled, whatever. I love them and want to learn how to make them. Ratios would be extra helpful.

Thanks

Go buy green peanuts.
Put them in big pot with plenty of water to allow them to float around.
Turn the knob high and boil the hell out of them for 1.5 hours on average for a two pound batch.
I put a little salt in around and hour then dump a bunch(maybe a cups worth) after turning fire off. Let soak for 20-30 minutes depending on how much juice and salt you want them to soke up.

crock pot: leftover crawfish boil liquid if you have it, or the dry mix. If the liquid, fill the crock pot with it. IF the powder, I guess however much it would take to fill the crock pot. Add 1/2 onion chopped up, and you can squeeze half a lemon in, and maybe 1/2 a bell pepper.
edit: oh and fill the crock pot almost to the brim with peanuts first.

Is this some kind of crazy northern recipe? I have never in my life heard of cooking them in a crock pot or adding any veggies.

This would be close to what I've been eating for most of 50 years.

Well, I'm from South Louisiana and I'd never eaten a boiled peanut until two weeks ago, and this was the peanut I ate. If I can eat honey roasted and hot and spicy and plain roasted peanuts, I don't see why I can't cook hot and spicy boiled peanuts that get flavor from more than just salt.

Though TBH I'd rather stick with dry roasted peanuts. I wasn't the biggest fan of eating a wet peanut.
