WVU belongs in the SEC

it is a shame it cant just be about quality of the product on the field....if that was the case WVU would be in hands down...i can understand SEC fans not wanting a quality team like WVU in their confetrence...it would mean that much of a tougher road for their teams....some of these (WVU haters) have no reason to not want them in other than that....the fans that post on here in reality dont care if we may be lower ranked in academics or that we only bring so many tv sets to their conference...really?...come on....its about making your road tougher....when was the last time you was tailgating and was talking about how many tv sets was gonna be watching the game or saying " man ! the students at that school are dumb"....WVU would fit into the sec as well as anyone..period.....the games would be awesome and they would compete and anyone who would say otherwise is delusionaal. Now i do know the reality of it is the money but...the SEC wouldnt hurt itself ny adding WVU in the big scope of things. The quality of the product would not be diluted and the tv sets wouldnt be as bad as you may think with the DC and Pitt viewing ares along with WV market....I highly respect the SEC as a football conference and would love for WVU to be able to compete with you guys. all money aside

WVU has nothing in common with the SEC. Tulane has a better argument for being in the SEC than WVU.

I watched the end of Virginia Tech v. Miami yesterday. Va. Tech should be an SEC team but not WVU.

I believe that the opposition that you are hearing from SEC fans about you joining is the direct result of the behavior of some of your fans up there. The reputation that those fans have given WVU is not good. WV really needs to crack down on those clowns. I am sure that many WV alums feel this way to. WV needs to be very proactive in cleaning this up. I am not saying all of this from rumors that I have heard. I attended the AU-WV game in Morgantown and I have never seen such behavior or foul language from a fan base. Did not want my kids subjected to that, they were scared to death. I have nothing against your university and I think you have a good football program and no I am not butthurt from losing to WV in 2008. I really believe this is the reason that so many SEC people oppose WV. BTW: I know for a fact that many SEC alums and fans have contacted their universities and expressed their opposition to WV based on the behavior of those fans.

this thing about the fans is ridiculous.the only way WVU gets in the news is with negative publicity...ESPN is known for being WVU haters. we have no more incidents than anywhere else in the country....we just get the bad rap nationally on it....sure we have a few idiots but most places do,,,,,most of us are some of the best down home people you could ever meet

I have never been cursed like that in my life. If I had a dollar for every time one of those scumbags yelled F...You and F.. Auburn it would have paid for the trip. And the kids were subjected to that language and behavior. I'm sorry, I have never heard that to that degree at other games in the SEC. If you do not think that there is a problem, you are in a state of denial. I actually feel sorry for the good WV fans. Why don't they demand that the university clean this up.

Id like to have them join but several commitments must be made:
Morgantown has to be easier to get in/out of...something
Get rid of the little league facilities...baseball
Replace all the homegrown sports staff
Pay your fricking coaches...how you lost richrod is amazing; be like okie state losing Mike Gundy
Include professional communications in every degree program...you're dealing with mountain kids and new jersey kids that can't talk like human beings...spilling f-bombs everywhere
Convince virginia or vatech to come with you...lock

i can also say this ...Oliver Luck is taking steps toward addressing many issues sense he has been here....he knows what the problems are and steps are being taken towards that end...including image and fan behavior...tv marketing etc....i do think in the end we will be in the SEC but only time will tell....i do not support in anyway the terrible fan behavior any opposing team may have experienced while at our stadium....like i said im sure i could go to Aub. or LSU and get seated in a place with mouthy foul mouthed fans...or next to some of the nicest people you would ever meet...luck ot the draw i guess
