I'm at a bar so I missed it. On PTI, Musburger was discussing something about Les being considered an NFL coach, but I missed it. Can anyone summarize?

TIA

Said Les would be a good NFL coach because he can relate to players. Said he wouldn't rule out Les leaving depending on the situation.

He said that absolutely Miles could be successful in the NFL. He said he's not sure it will happen because Miles appears happy in Baton Rouge, but stated that all coaches have "egos." He said if the right team comes knocking he wouldn't be suprised.

I think Les wouldn't do to well in the NFL. I believe in the NFL you need to be more about x's and o's instead of being one of the guys.

I think the Sabans and Petrinos of the world have scared off teams fom getting college coaches for the most part

I think Harbaugh got it last year to do with his brothers success and him running a pro style offense more so than his college success

He didn't have a QB. In today's NFL, you can be the best x's and o's guy, but if you don't have a top notch QB, you can forget about having big time success.

Sounds like a BS recruting speech to me. To someone considering LSU... "Son, Miles may not be there, he may go to the NFL"

Perhaps, but I think it was more he couldn't deal with the players.

Ask any Dolphin fan what they thought of Miami's defense, especially their DB play. You can always hire good x and o coaches in the pro's. Being able to spot talent and manage the team chemistry is huge in the NFL. Jimmy Johnson was one of best. Not sure if Les would work out in the NFL. Hope we don't have to find out.

this.

Without Brady, Belichick is fired from NE & is a position coach somewhere.

One of Coach Miles' strong suits is recruiting and player relations.
That suits college coaches much more than NFL coaches.

Of course, he had every opportunity to sign Drew Brees, and he passed. He could have had a very good to great QB, but he did not recognize his abilities.

Saban deserves some of the credit for his QB problems at Miami.

I also think that his style went over like a lead balloon with NFL players.

Why do people say things like this?

Miles has been a major college player, Coordinator, position coach of the NFL, Head coach and successful of two good College programs.

He knows x's and o's. Be around big time football for your whole life, and you would have to be handicapped to not pick up what you need to know.
