I beleive this will actually end up being a game where the opponent slows it down and then we pull away in the end. The home field advantage could keep it close until the 4th quarter. Thoughts?

I really don't see how slowing the game down is in Florida's best interest other than to keep it close. Maybe they try to protect the young QBs. Not really sure, but it seems to play right into our strengths.

Not sure about them slowing it down....although with a Fr. QB I assume they will as well. But I too think it will be close at the end of the 3rd quarter.

You answered your own query. On paper, the only way they win is to keep the game close and make a big play or two at the end.

Just to clarify, a team slows the game down by passing the ball right? (Stops clock)

Exactly. I hope LSU comes out and attempts to run up the score early.

Why would he have to? That's our style,

I think he tries the short passing game to get the ball in space to Demps, Dubose and especially Rainey! Worked for WVU.

You can try but a 3 and out has a way of speeding it up for your opponent.

Good point. Not quite sure what the OP means. I think of slowing down the game as eating up the play clock. Snapping the ball at 2. UO speeds the game up, we slow it down.

The other possibility is "shortening the game." I tend to think we're discussing shortening/slowing down the game. You shorten the game by letting the clock roll. 4 yards and a cloud of flatule.

We like to do that too. Does that mean by the end of the game it will be Saturday Night in Death Valley?

Florida doesn't have the players to slow the game down. They have no power tailback and no possession receivers

Don't forget what the last true freshman that came into TS in his first start did? 300 passing yards!
