I can't understand why CBS wouldn't start playing more SEC games at 7 pm. Who sits and watches anything but college football on Saturday night?

I suspect that whatever it is, the reason it isn't football (other than one Saturday night each year)is a contractual provision in the SEC's deal with ABC/ESPN (similar to the one in the deal with CBS) that precludes SEC teams from appearing on other networks opposite games being broadcast by ESPN/ABC.

It's called a contract. Are people really this STUPID???????????????????

If they want night games every Saturday they will need to step up and pay for that right- PERIOD

It's a strange relationship between the SEC, CBS, and ESPN. At the end of the day, the SEC vault looks like this:

Mary Tyler Moore then Carol Burnett

Since CBS can't get the primetime game, they have the first pick. Just hope that the next negotiations that CBS can get baseball or basketball and will drop SEC college football. Otherwise it will be day games at tiger stadium.

Holy frick, can we seriously get a sticky about CBS and prime time games. They do it once a year, its not that fricking hard to figure out.

Only 1 team schedules all of its home games at night, the rest of the world is not going to cater to the tailgating wants of one group of fans.

This is not a new development.

I'd be willing to bet CBS doesn't want primetime games every week. I'd bet that whatever they put on TV has higher ratings than college football would.
