Food type not as important as someplace a group of coworkers in a training class in the I-10 energy corridor can get a good meal and good service. Went to Taste of Texas last night as a point of reference. Urbanspoon top listing for the area seem to be a real mixed bag. Lived here years ago, but this wasn't my part of town. Is Churrasco's still good. Fago de Chaurro (sp?) is good but stretches the expense account too much to go back there too soon, IMO.

Lots of good food at CityCentre where Town & Country Mall used to be. McCormick & Schmick, Fleming's, Cyclone Anaya, Bistro Alex, RA Sushi, etc.

I'd ad The Yardhouse to it....good food, plenty of beers

CityCenter was a great call. The shuttle took us there and we split up for dinner and met back at Yardhouse for beers afterwards. Didn't even know about that area since it was built after I moved away. Thanks guys!
