LSU v. Alabama should be at night. There is no excuse. It would carry a 4.0+ rating easily.

It's their contract with the SEC.

Remember the SEC also has a contract with ESPN, which always gets SEC games in primetime. More CBS primetime games would conflict with ESPN's contract with the SEC.

- 9/17 Florida vs. Tennessee 3:30PM, ET
- 10/1 SEC Doubleheader 3:30PM, ET and 8PM, ET
- 10/29 Florida vs. Georgia 3:30PM, ET
- 11/12 SEC Doubleheader Noon, ET and 3:30PM, ET
- 11/25 LSU vs. Arkansas 2:30PM, ET
- 12/3 SEC Championship 4PM, ET
- 12/10 Army vs. Navy 2:30PM, ET
- 12/31 Sun Bowl 2PM, ET

Just part of the agreement. Keeps both CBS and ESPN happy so SEC and get billions from 'em.

2 doubleheader weekends.

1 of the weekends (Oct 1) is 3:30 ET and 8 ET (primetime)

The other weekend (Nov 12) is Noon ET and 3:30 ET.

And one of their new Saturday night prime time shows 2 Broke Girls pulled a 7.

It premiered on a Monday but has been moved to a Saturday night slot.

Just over 19 million people apparently. TV execs want eyeballs. Eyeballs sell ads and that means money. Plus Kat Dennings is in it and her rack is awesome.

Bama v UF had roughly 7.65 million viewers last week in comparison. Neb v Wisky had 5.61 million so even that combined still doesn't equal 2 Broke Girls. And then 2 And A Half Men blows everyone else out of the water.

Becasue you are College Football fan... and a fan of LSU, so it's important to you.

Some gandma in Timbucktoo could care less about LSU vs. Alabama.... but she wants to watch "her show" every Saturday night.

There are a LOT more "grandmas in Timbucktoo" than LSU vs. Alabama fans/college football fans tuning in to watch TV.

Survivor plays on Saturday night? How much of a loser do you have to be to not do stuff on Saturday night and stay home and watch a regular show?

Should I have said, "BFE" -- maybe the point would have been clearer that I was agreeing with what you said about there being more "general TV watchers" than college football viewers.

I believe that is the important point and one many posters on this board do NOT seem to grasp... they simply cannot see another person's view.
