the first impulsive thought is: he should have stayed his senior season...but all things happen for a reason. when he overcomes this obstacle he will have a testament...

If, as strength and flexibility coach Carter Stamm and speed coach Derrick Joseph attest, his 10-yard splits are better than the ones he ran at the NFL Combine, why not be hopeful?

Description of what happened to him in the accident is pretty horrific.

Awesome news. I wish I was in NOLA to see him run on Weds.

My mom was one of his nurses, and I got to see his injuries in person. Horrific doesn't begin to describe it. His recovery is nothing short of amazing.

Such an amazing story. I remember first hearing about this that day and everyone wondering if he would even survive. Then it was will they be able to save his leg. Certainly playing football again was not what was important at the time.

His comeback is nothing short of miraculous and I truly hope he makes it all the way and gets to have a successful career. I wouldn't mind seeing him being the guest captain in NOLA so he can show all his fans how far he's come.
