I see him as one of those guys that they tell to be ready at any time for a call back.

With Tom Johnson healthy, it was only a matter of time. They will be signing a tackle.

We might have him back on the practice squad. They released Swanson Miller from the practice squad already. Still....

No biggie.

Outside of timely redzone stinginess, the defense has been fricking pathetic.

The high hopes I had for the DL in preseason has led to such deep disappointment, it wouldn't surprise or sadden me now if the FO also decided to release a Franklin or Rogers, much less a Mitch King.

As a matter of fact, I would be indifferent to any defensive cuts/moves , with the exception of Jenkins, Vilma, Smith, Dunbar, Casillas, Greer or Galette, and maybe Harper.

I've stopped fooling myself. Drew Brees is our best defense this year.

Defense has definitely been dissapointing outside the Chicago game. But then again we've faced two of the best offenses in the league in the first three games so ill save my judgement till mid season. When brees is clicking this team is unstoppable on offense

I'm not sure if you've notice, but there are few teams out there that seem to be playing good defense.

yeah im not worried about it. Saints defense has a chance to get on track the next couple weeks.if come mid season and we still stinking the place up on defense then we should worry because they are gonna be the key to winning another superbowl .Brees wont be able to do it by himself in the playoffs

True, but I think a record number of yardage has been given up these first couple of weeks.

This. We did well against Chicago and did bad against the two other best offenses in the league next to New England. I'll reserve judgement after the next few weeks to see after we play some worse teams.

Pretty much everyone in the league has sucked on Defense.

Defenses need OTAs, they need contact, they need reptition. They didn't get any. The new CBA further limits padded practices. That plus all of the rules that favor Offenses, and all D's are going to be way behind this year.

I think it means Tom Johnson is ready to play. It also might mean we're looking to sign another OT.
