I saw a clip on tv last night about this guy. Rivals shows him a 6'2" 200 lbs safety/wr but the announcer said he is now at 230 lbs.

mr. atle in response to your comment about Dillon Beard being JUCO bound and not qualifying, Dillon comes from a well educated middle-class family with a tremendous support network including parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbors, friends, as well as an outstanding coaching staff, and to your disbelief Dillon has already met the NCAA ACT requirements (G.P.A. not an issue). Not sure if your comment was racist, but nevertheless I know your type, non-athletic but has the "so-called" sports expertise and background to make a comment about a 17-year old kid. mr. atle have you ever been featured in the "Morning Advocate", ever been "WBRZ's" Fan's Choice Player of the Week, ever been awarded the "Louisiana Football Coaches Association" ALL- STATE Team Award as a Junior in High School or 5-5A All District 1ST Team Offense Award as a Junior in High School (didn't think so...)??? Hadn't seen your Football Highlights on YouTube lately either... If you were such the "Sports Expertise" that you proclaim to be your research would have shown you that Dillon has several Division I full scholarship offers on the table and besides any JUCO offer that Dillon were to receive would be one more offer than you've ever received. For those that are genuinely interested in knowing who Dillon Beard is, he's a Senior WR/ FS for Zachary High (#7) he's 6'3 230lbs, he's also a member of Zachary's Track and Weightlifting Teams. In closing mr. atle Dillon Beard is one of Louisiana's best kept secrets when it comes to the pigskin, remember the name "Dillon Beard"! By the way I've chosen to intentionally misspell your username, you don't deserve to be addressed correctly. THAT IS ALL!

Seriously though...Chill the frick out dude.

For those of us who don't know about him, what's the story on this kid? Any offers yet? Has he attended any camps? What grade is he in?

I saw he has been offered by second tier schools only. If he has the grades the only reason no other offers were made could be his speed at 200lbs. At 230lbs or more he moves to TE/LB which could change that. Just wondering.

He's is a big kid with some talent. He plays WR for ZHS. He played safety too last yr. Have not seen him play too much on D this yr. He does not have break away speed. As was stated earlier he is more of a TE. The speed of the college game will leave him behind at WR.

Those in Louisiana who get Cox Sports can watch Dillon play Thursday night at 7:00 pm when Zachary travels to West Feliciana.

According to Scout, LaTech, ULM & Arkie State have offered. They have him listed as 6'2" 220 lbs.
Dillon was at one of the LSU camps this summer. Here's his picture from that camp:

He has a couple of junior teammates to watch too.

Chris Taylor a 6'2" 300 lbs. guard who is in his second year as a starter.

Taylor was at the July LSU camp:

Larry Cage a 6'2" 190 lbs. linebacker who is quite the athlete. NUC Baton Rouge Combine

quote:

Larry Cage, LB-Zachary HS, LA-6-1.5, 186-Overall MVP, Fastest Man and Combine King-Ran a 4.40 40, 9-2 broad, 32.5 vertical has great speed, great hands, physical, runs like the wind and covers WR's with ease, He is a potential 5 star athlete.

Cage was also at the July LSU camp:

Found these free highlights of Cage on HUDL. Says some are from this year.
