I've been following college football for many years now, especially LSU football. Of all those years I've never seen so much great media attention given to an LSU team. Even more than 2007. Reminds me of 2008-09 when Florida was in the news ever 10 seconds.

i think it has a lot to do with our OOC schedule and how dominant are performances have been this season

The team will do well to ignore the press and hype and play with a chip on its shoulder. There is only one team that can beat LSU, and that is the team wearing purple and gold!

I understand the team will ignore the media, but is this great for recruiting?

This. Plus, if Bama beats Arky the attention will die down a bit.

Or the hype machine will go into overdrive for the MNC semi-finals LSU vs Bama

The attention is awesome for PR and recruiting. A week before the season it was all negative and the on field play has turned it around 180

I'm not gonna even worry about Bama until we get through Florida, that game could end up being very tough

This will all change if Florida beats Bama the week before we play. I happen to think it very possible which would set up our game with them the very next week as the big one, provided of course that we are undefeated then too.
