I am looking forward to watching an exciting game sunday...but im not really expecting a victory for the Texans.
The Saints purposely held back the blitz in preseason and Shaub is horrible under pressure. Im sure the Texans will see either a run blitz or pass blitz almost every play. If a defense plays aggressive against the Texans...and not on their heals...they can dominate.
Im hoping the Texans can also be aggressive on defense and make some plays. But they are still adjusting to the new scheme..but are much better than last year.
Only hope for Texans is to pound the ball with Foster and Tate.
Go Texans!!

Chad's the resident dickhole, pay him no mind.
I would say you stand a better chance at Reliant than you do at the Superdome. And that's just me being realistic. It'll be hard to play in the Dome against a Saints D that feeds off it's own crowd more than it does it's own abilities.

well played...
I think a fresh Will Smith back on the defensive front will be a huge factor in this game. Our defense is starting to turn the corner.

Swat, I look for a great game. This game is VERY big for both teams. You guys are good. The Saints need it for Swagger. Yu need it for legitimizing your goodness. Looks like a 3 point game to me. Go Saints!

No lie. Ya'll may have actually benefited from Lee if it had gone just a little more west.

I am a huge Texans fan and a little bit of a saints fan only because I live over here now and they are on TV.
But honestly I do see this game being a close one. If the Texans offense plays like it can then we should win. But with the saints pass rush it will be tough. Should be a good one and I am looking forward to it. Mainly because I finally get to watch my Texans on TV.

i think your team is damn good and will make the playoffs. IMO, this game is crucial to our season. we win this and we are off and running to a possible 7-1 or even 8-1 start realistically. The first 3 games we play are tough, GB, da bears and the texans, pretty tough stretch. possibly toughest of the season. we get through this 2-1 and i will be happy.

Texans are legit. Foster being out helps. If we stop the run, we win easily. Keeps their play action game ineffective and thus renders Schaub ineffective. But if we don't stay discipline and maintain gap responsibility, then their cutback run game will eat us up even without Foster (Tate is pretty good too). We'll be in a fight if that happens.
While much improved, the Texans defense is still susceptible to downfield passing. They've played two avg to below avg NFL QBs in Collins and Henne. The biggest problem for us may just be having film on them. Its a new defense. In my opinion, the best film we can watch is the Dallas game from 2009 when Wade took the def back over and they beat us for our first loss. He'll prob try to run that same gameplan.....but I'm sure Payton has figured that out already.
Texans are essentially Packers lite with talent level at every position just one notch below GB. Same 3-4 defense and good offense, although the Texans are much more run dependent. I know its a cliche in the league that if you stop the run you win, but in this case, its true. NFL is a passing league now, but Texans still live and die by the run game.

Either team is capable of pulling away for a big win. Look at ATL or PHI in two games. It could be a nail biter just as well. Let's go for a solid well fought one- like against Chicago last week.

I fully endorse this message.

My thoughts exactly.
Look for the Saints to win the coin flip, receive the opening kickoff, run the first 12-15 plays scripted and to score a TD. If they are able to hold the Texans on their possession to a punt, look for the start of a ball control rushing attack. Then the Texans can look forward to a long afternoon.
With that said, I am confident in a Saints victory even if this goes into a shootout.
