"About that move to the SEC "» let's not rush into anything," Aggies coach Mike Sherman, who still has the Nike marks on his team's forehead from a 41-24 trampling at the feet of LSU last January, might say. "And just wondering about one thing, would we be in LSU's division? Like, we'd have to play those guys every year."

Sounds to me like he's trying to throw a wrench into the SEC's expansion by scaring the potential newbies into looking elsewhere...or maybe I'm just a glass-half-empty kinda guy.

Guilbeau gives praise/reports on LSU, it is just that he must be bipolar. His next article will be tearing LSU down.

Someone must have hacked Glenn Gilbeau's Gannet News account... No way he knowingly put his name on suck a pro-LSU article.

Man, that Guilbeau LSU column was the best yet. Really good.

If LSU, which may have its best team in history, keeps playing like it has so far this season, SEC TV could drive away more new members than attract them. The Tigers have defensive ends that run like defensive backs and defensive backs that move like those vampires in "True Blood." LSU's wins over Oregon and State looked unfair.

That how I feel also.

Guilbeau has been highly complimentary of the Tigers in the past, and will certainly be so again. He just picks his spots. When there's something to bitch about he'll do that too. Spreads it around. Writes on what's topical. Journalists tend to do that.

Guilbeau isn't a real journalist. He's a hack comparable to Finebaum. They are the personal injury attorneys of the journalism world.

I feel what your saying, but... I am pretty sure that no leader of any college will be basing his decision to join or not join the SEC on Gilbeau's sports page article.... It would have more to do with the Tens of Millions of dollars yearly the university would gain by making a move...IMO

Perhaps I am cynical, especially when it comes to GG, but my read on his piece is that it was written tongue planted firmly in cheek.
