2-3 first rounders in secondary alone

Claiborne & Tharold Simon will be 1st round in the near future. Mathieu & Reid both will be high draft picks as well. I don't think I've ever seen this much talent in a college secondary. These next 2 years are gonna be special.

You could also argue that craig loston's an NFL athlete..still figuring out the game, though.

Eh.
1st rounders? No. Drafted? Yes.
This defense including backups.. say 16 deep will be drafted in the NFL minus a few.
7 are DL or DL/3-4 LBs.

regardless, the defense is just sick. the d line runs down QBs and RBs from behind on a consistent basis, bull rush right over the OL, the secondary is just deadly. And most of the guys are underclassman. swagga.

I thought it was telling that MSU tried to test Claiborne's side instead of Simon's. Claiborne is damn good, and he might not be the best DB.

Claiborne probably is the better DB at this point but Simon is as physically imposing as a corner can be so it may just be easier to try to throw against the guy who stands about 6'1 instead of 6'3

Having 13-16 guys that WILL be drafted into the NFL on defense is testament alone.
No need to embellish. ^^ This is a talented group without the hyberbole.

I'm not trying to embelish... I really think Claiborne will be a 1st rounder and Simon could be a top 15 pick. I think Mathieu because of his size will be a very late 1st to late 2nd rounder. I don't have a good idea where Reid will go honestly but I do think he will go in the first 4 rounds at the very least.

Self bump... Looks like a pretty good shot all three corners will go in the 1st. Reid also has a real good shot if he continues. This is the best secondary I have ever seen. Brandon Taylor should be moving up the draft boards as well with the season he's had.
