I noticed in the 3rd quarter of the game, #2 was deep to return a punt. I thought that he was in there just to faircatch the ball and get off the field. Not the case however.
I don't see a reason that our only experienced WR should be in that game in the 3rd quarter at all. Any reasons why he was in there returning punts so late in a game that was all but over?

ETA: seeing him almost get killed when he didn't call for the faircatch was a scarier moment than when Lee came up limping IMO.

Why would TM be doing it?

I liked Jarvis back there, let him be the #2 PR.

Not saying that TM should have been in there either, but let a young unproven WR (Jarvis looked good) "try out" as the return man.

No offense to Landry but I would be more comfortable with RR and TM returning punts for a while. Let Landry get used to the bright lights of Tiger Stadium before sending him out there to return a punt in a crucial moment against a SEC team.

Make no mistake about it - despite RR's (non) punt return against NWST - he can be deadly returning kicks/punts.

I agree that it might be more risk than reward. Put, he is extremely good at returning kicks.

I would venture when it is more critical to have sure hands on the ball (close game, close to end zone etc)we would put RR in.

ETA: It makes me nervous. I don't want to see him go down.
