Solid Offensive Progress

Considering the difficulty the Tigers have had passing against anyone the last two years, it was nice to see some tangible improvement from game one to game two. I know it was against a weak opponent, but that is usually the best time to work on confidence and timing.
In the Oregon game, Lee didn't make a ton of mistakes, but there were some passes that could have been placed better than they were. This contributed to some of the drops. The receivers also had their struggles with dropping passes that certainly should have been caught. I know that the coaches didn't uncork the whole playbook tonight, but what we saw was much better. Lee had better accuracy, didn't just lock on to one guy, and just looked sharp overall. The receivers were a WORLD better. They made the plays they should have, and the stats back that up.
Lee will have to do more in most of our SEC games, but at least we see that this year's offense is CAPABLE of executing and dominating SOMEONE. If he can just be accurate and execute the gameplan, it's going to really help out the run game. I think we can see that Ford is a BEAST, and the passing game is good enough to get that 8th man out of the box, he will run wild all year long.

It was nice to see. When was the last time LSU went out and dominated a weaker opponent from start to finish? Very enjoyable game to watch

Last year even against weak teams we couldn't pass so I've been super excited to see what we've been doin so far this year

It's something to build on. We'll know a lot more after Thursday.

After Thursday we will know what kind of team we have. I think its going to be closer than most expect.
