Here is a vid I watched today on ESPN on whether or not this game is a BCS Title elimination game for the two teams. Matich said it is for Oregon, but not LSU.

Also said that LSU is better with Lee at QB, as he is more consistent and knows how to read a defense better than Jefferson.

Beat me to it on posting this. Sounds like Matich has actually watched some LSU football and I believe that his assessment is spot on.

I think LSU's offense has more upside with Lee... but, he worries me more than Jefferson. I hope he puts that anxiety to rest Saturday night!

Yea. I never was too worried about a qb who never got rid of the ball and took many many sacks. Only time jj worried me was when we were down by a score late in the game and we needed him to take us to a late score. I always lacked confidence in him.

yeah, you can really tell when people just start spouting the "LSU is now playing with their backup quarterback" when in reality he was vital to our success last year.
Nice to see people knowing what they are talking about.

Also, what is it about Spencer Tillman's face that creeps me out? He looks like a woman being made up to look like a man.

I feel much better knowing that Crowton is no longer coaching Jarret Lee. I believe if Jefferson is unable to come back, then J. Lee will be a more than adequate starter at QB. How many teams would love to have our current 2nd string QB right now?

Uhhh LSU is only better off with Lee because Jefferson has too much baggage right now. Everyone wants to be an "expert" and these ESPN know-it-alls think they know better than Les Miles who the best QB is on the team.

If Jarrett Lee reads defenses so much better, how can you explain the massive gap between Lee's career interception total and that of Jefferson?

I agree with this. Lee has more upside, can make "the" throws when needed. He definitely can make throws JJ can't. While his upside is better, his downside is as lower, or has been in the past. If he is "off" LSU risks becoming one dimensional at the QB position.

Will see how it goes, Who knows how things have progressed.
