ridsdale spending 80k a week on goldfish? nah

relegation? nah

losing to watford in playoff final? nah

another relegation? nah

losing to millwall in playoffs? nah

offloading gradel ? WHAT IN THE frick?

the "rumored" 3m would be good money but gradel is quality and one of the guys you want to build a squad around to CHALLENGE FOR PROMOTION.

this quote from a leeds board basically sums shite up...

quote:

We'll buy someone for about 10% of that fee tomorrow and "miss out" on a target from a Premier League club "at the last minute". We'll get a Premiership player or two on loan and then probably sign one of them permanently in January before they turn rubbish.

You can get Samaras...

ETA: And y'all supposedly got 7.5 mill, not 3.

Leeds don't want to be in the Prem. I think Bates is happy in the Championship. Leeds is now a selling club and he wants to line his pockets, rather than put a competitive team on the pitch.

This guy sums in up pretty well

seems to be the consensus amongst most fans at this point, we may as well rewind to two summers ago and cashed in on beckford.

snodgrass will probably be next.

I understood Delph, very good money.

Beckford blew my mind, but after that I kind of expected to lose Gradel after his amazing year.

Snodgrass may be out if the money is good enough for Bates, but I think he is going to catch an amazing amount of hell from the seasoners for his sale of Gradel (unless he goes out and spends some of this money on an adequate replacement).

I think Bates comments after the protest at the first match, pretty much sums up his attitude towards Leeds,

quote:

Some fans may not like me, or agree with me, but you're stuck with me. 'I saved your club in 2005 and 2007 when nobody else would. The rebuilding of Leeds United is a bit like sex. In an age of instant gratification, Leeds United is having a long, drawn-out affair with plenty of foreplay and slow arousal. 'We're in this for the long term. We may have had two disappointing results, but we will get there - we are building for the future.'

Bates calling out protesters

Come on Bates, you can't call it foreplay when you are impotent.

If we beat the Scum in a couple of weeks then everything will be fine. Grayson's job will be safe; Bates will be duly annointed as our savior; and promotion will be assured. This has been a dark day but WE ARE LEEDS, ARN'T WE?!!!! MOT WACCOE
