If JJ is reinstated and Lee is getting the job done, does he get the starting QB job back?

I don't see how Les could hand it back over to JJ if the offense is clicking and the team is piling on the W's.

Thoughts?

No. He'll be in the doghouse and have to earn his way back.

The entire university would look awful if JJ were to play this year. It would look as if LSU had no moral compass. Lee and Mett will be just fine.

If we're winning, no.

If we're losing, maybe.

Original thought though.

Most likely. Maybe not instantly but it will happen.

Just curious why do you feel the need to start another thread on this subject?

If Lee is doing well then they would probably give the majority of the snaps to Lee and maybe bring in JJ for certain running situations or if the game is already won, it is his last year of eligibility, Miles probably feels bad for him and would give him some chance (BTW, I mostly assuming that this whole thing is being blown out of proportion by the media and the stress on the BRPD)

lol, do you forget the numerous games where "us fans" were 110% sure JJ would not start the following week...only to have JJ start the following week

JJ will never play another down at LSU. Don't understand why it's so hard to understand that. If the 0.00001% chance (or less, this would be unprecedented in college football) then lets think about that then. First and foremost, anyone who thinks JJ was THAT MUCH BETTER than JL is retarded.

I don't think we will ever see JJ in uniform again IMO.

At this point I will have to agree. Guess you next post will ask if Mett redshirts if JJ is cleared to play?

Nope, Lewis Unglesby himself even said the legal process at best is going to require over 2/3rds of the season. By then, it would be blatantly unfair and stupid to sub JJ in for JL.

I believe JJ and Josh Johns are suspended for the season, at any rate. We'll see Johns back next year, but obviously not Jefferson. He might weasel his way into the '12 NFL supplemental draft or go play in the CFL.

I never thought JJ was better than JL.

Lee was thrown into a horrible situation back in 08. I had my share of frustrations with the pick 6's, but I believe he has matured in the last 3 seasons. He has a live arm and a gunslingers mentality. Interceptions are to be expected with a QB like that. When Lee was on, he was on. I'm 100% behind Lee and I hope he can take advantage of this situation. He deserves it b/c of all the stuff he's been through since being on the team.

I agree, but JL's just not as mobile. So I really hope that O-Line blocks like they've never blocked before.

Absolutely. If JJ is reinstated, and I think he will be sooner rather than later, he will start again. There were games last year I couldn't believe he was behind center to start the game. I don't have any reason to think it would be different this year.

You would hope not, but Les' love affair with JJ has never really made any logical sense, so I wouldn't be shock to see Les bench Lee in JJ's stead just cause.

Unless the popo found those naked pictures during their search of JJ's apartment.

For sure if charges are dropped.

Maybe if plead down to a misdemeanor. This would be admitting he was that he was involved in a bar fight, but not admitting to kicking a helpless victim.

Never if the process goes past the middle of October.

I'm not going to argue who is better, but it's time to stop talking about JJ. His issue will never be resolved in time for it to matter. He has bigger worries right now anyway.

It would be nice for JLee to have a good season after sticking through it. I'm pulling for him.
