...but, dang!

These kids have been tried and convicted before their days in court.

With that being said, does this not prove, once again, the lack of discipline on Les Miles coached teams? The mental lapses, the stupid penalties, and the overall lack of leadership has to come to an end. Am I alone?

Two months ago all we heard was how little trouble the team has been in since Miles was here.

I was a kid once. Went to those same bars probably 5 out of 7 nights in a week, 4 out of 7 average throughout college. Never once got arrested. Never once got in a brawl.

You can't blame being a fricking idiot on being young. Young people have the capability of making correct decisions.

This. The national media was patting LSU on the back for showing the world how to keep out of major NCAA trouble.

This is a major screw up, but it isn't a trend.

How does any man on earth keep 100 college kids out of trouble in Baton Rouge, Louisiana? Miles is human after all. Sometimes, its nothing short of a miracle.

Oh, I agree, but he's 21 or 22. I'm almost positive we all did things when we were that age that we wouldn't do now.

Miles' blind dedication to him as the starter, even after several questionable on-field decisions made me doubt Miles, not JJ.

The other point people are failing to recognize is that this is not any type of NCAA issue.

No, not NCAA related.
But three broken vertabra and having your head kicked like ball is probably more of a concern to the victim and the police.

Putting fear into his players would be a start. Being the starting quarterback should make one more accountable, not less. No pun inteneded.

Quit excusing bad behavior.

He is not a freshman and he knows the era in which he lives...there is no surprise to him...
he just exercised bad judgment...
this generation is too quick to use the idea of disrespect to justify violence.
No excuse.

In this whole shitty mess, I keep thinking about one of the first things coach Kragthorpe said after we learned about his Parkinson's disease when he said that he was staying around because of Jordan Jefferson. This is how that uber retard repays his loyalty be kicking everybody in the nuts (or in the head). Senior leadership my arse!!

I'm a firm believer in getting what you deserve/reaping what you sow/getting what's coming to you.

I was in school from '94-'01. There was a fight almost every night Murphy's was open. Sometimes VERY BIG fights (e.g. 30-50 people; movie scene-esque). Sports was the same. I probably saw 50 or so. I was in 10-15 altercations in BR and NO while in school. I never started one of them, but jumped into a few. I was never arrested. I was put in the back of a squad car and cuffed once, but after not resisting, politely speaking to the officer, and explaining my situation, he let me go. The cops used to just show up, flash their lights and the crowd would disperse. It was routine. Right or wrong, this was the status quo when I was at LSU.

This whole thing is BS and a whiney, crybaby, p*ssy move by at least one of the individuals. You start shite, you get what is coming to you. Take like a man, and think twice next time. Hopefully karma will find her way to whoever was the cause of this mess (I think we have a good idea of who that was). I'm sure he'll be infamous in BR now and hopefully a few more beatings will be doled out.

As for the other three victims...maybe they were wronged and didn't deserve the beatings we'll never know.

Working there doesn't count.
