To have his Jamie Howard moment. We all know his short comings early on, but he has a chance to rewrite his legacy at LSU. Jamie Howard after 6 picks against Auburn in 94 came back and won in 95. Lee talked about transferring but instead staying on knowing he wasn't the starter and now 9 days before the biggest opener he could be. With a solid running game and an offensive line that can keep him upright we will be in great shape. Glad we are deep at running back. so the Marines don't get mad.

He has had chances the past two years to "rewrite" his legacy also.

I hope it works out. He is going to have to be the man this year.

Every Story has got to start somewhere and his play against UT, UF, and us when LSU really need a QB to step up was a good starting step!

couldnt agree more. if not for lee's play in those games last year, im positive we dont get the w, and have a 5 loss season. hopefully he can get in there and sling some deep passes so we can open up huge holes for the running game.

If it wasn't for J Lee we would have lost three additional games last year

I mean it jabbed a knife in my side watching him throw that deep ball late and seal the deal giving my family bragging rights for this year, but Id much rather him throw that against us than Mallet doing something like that against us.

premise is wrong. I think Jlee coming off a NC season took more heat and more national ridicule than Howard could think about.

In fans eyes, while he was remade his image in bring back magic, was still a failure at LSU

Jlee has a opportunity, depending on how things play out with JJ, to change the course of his life if he played very well

Amazed that many people have seemingly forgotten this , Lee played exceptionally well in the situations he was put into. Down in games after JJ had messed up, or even in on 3rd downs in must pass situations.

The kids gonna be ready, and have a great year. Everyone will be on his bandwagon by week 5.

He hasn't been given the chance he deserved. Les never let him play long enough to find his groove. Sure, he had his chance to play a few second quarters if you're good with that.

The Pick-Six season (statistically) is an anomaly. Trust me on this.

You can call JLee a lot of things but you can't call him a quitter. The kid is tough. That will serve him well in his life.

We threw JL to the wolves when he was a freshman. I would rather root for a guy that stuck it out with us after we treated him like shite for a few years and has been a team player than for a guy who gets in a stupid, immature bar fight 2 weeks before the biggest game of the year for us before his senior season.

O and when did JJ all of a sudden become a player we cant live without? Have yall forgotten how terrible he was last year?

That being said, it doesnt matter who we play at QB. As long as our D is in tact we will destroy Oregon.

Prediction: Sam Montgomery or Mingo will knock LaMichael James out the game on that slow read sweep they do
