WR PPR Rankings

Here are my PPR WR Rankings...I'll post the QB, RB, and TE Rankings later in the week. Flame away:
PS, I didn't proof read this monster
1.) Andre Johnson - AJ is the best WR in the league. Everyone knows that he is
getting the ball, they simply can't stop him. He has the speed to get past any defender and the size & strength to go up and get it.
He's as close to a sure thing as there is in fantasy football.
2.) Roddy White - I have Roddy ranked #2 but you could really call him 1b. He's in a good offense and has great chemistry with his QB. I don't see him drastically improving his numbers from last year, but he shouldn't fall off either. In fantasy you want consistentcy more than anything, and White will get you double digit points every week.
3.) Calvin Johnson - CJ is the most physically gifted WR in the league. He put up great numbers last year playing most of the season with a back up QB. I think Stafford stays healthy this season, which will lead to a monster year for CJ. Look for his reception total to be in the 90's. I wouldn't be surprised if he finished the season as the highest rated fantasy WR.
4.) Larry Fitzgerald - The Cardinals had the worst QB situation in the league last year and Fitz still managed 90 catches and nearly 1200 yards. With Kolb on board I expect Fitz to blow up. He could very well catch 100 balls and have double digit td's. Some think that he will have a down year after signing the big contract, but not me. I think Arizona will be a playoff contender this year and that Fitz will be as good as ever.
5.) Hakeem Nicks - Nicks was one of my sleepers last year, and he didn't disappoint. He had 77 catches for almost 1200 yards and a whopping 12 TDs. New York's defense is not going to be good this year, and I see them as a team that will be in a lot of shootouts. Look for Nicks to get 85+ catches this season with double digit TDs.
6.) Reggie Wayne - Yes, there is a chance that Peyton Manning will miss a couple of games, but Wayne is still going to get the ball. I don't see this as a Miles Austin-type situation from last year. The Colts spread the ball around, but Wayne is still their #1 option. I don't expect Manning to miss much time, so if Wayne falls to you in the 3rd or 4th round, consider it a steal.
7.) Vincent Jackson - Huge season ahead for V-Jax. I expect him to have a season similar to what Bowe had last year, and I predict that he will lead the league in TD catches.
8.) Greg Jennings - Jennings would be ranked higher if GB didn't have so many weapons. Aaron Rogers does a great job at spreading the ball around and getting everyone involved. Still, he's the #1 WR in a pass happy offense and is a solid #1 fantasy WR.
9.) Dwayne Bowe - I'm seeing people rank Bowe as low as 18, and I really don't understand why. He's not going to get 15 td's again this season but I still expect him to be in the double digits. KC was the #1 rushing team in the league last year. They aren't sneaking up on anyone this season. The additions of Steve Breaston and Jonathan Baldwin should free things up for Bowe. 80+ catches this season.
10.) Dez Bryant - Miles Austin might be the #1 WR in Dallas, but Bryant will be the better fantasy WR, especially in PPR. Dallas does a nice job of getting him the ball on short passes and screens, and he's the team's best red zone target. He's the type of guy that can win a jump ball and also take a 5 yard slant to the house. Bryant is going to break out this season. He's your next elite WR.
11.) DeSean Jackson - In years past I haven't been as high on Desean Jackson. He's been a big play guy, but he doesn't get a lot of catches or score a ton of TDs. I think his receptions go way up this year. If Maclin didn't have the aids, I would rank him ahead of Jackson, but that's a strange situation. Vick has to throw the ball to someone and I think Jackson steps up. Plus he wants to get paid - don't underestimate that.
12.) Wes Welker - This is probably too low for Welker, who has always been a PPR monster. I expect the NE offense to be really good again this season, and Welker will be racking up the catches. He doesn't have the upside as the players listed ahead of him, but if you want a consistent WR who will get you points each week, Welker is your guy.
13.) Miles Austin - Although I have Bryant ranked higher, I really like Austin this season. He has good chemistry with Romo and should put up nice numbers, but I view him as a #2 fantasy WR.
14.) Brandon Lloyd - Like Welker, I feel like I have Lloyd ranked too low. If I had a team loaded at RB or if I went with a QB early, I would be ok with having him as my #1 WR. He was only the #1 WR in all of fantasy last season, and while I don't think he'll match those numbers, I expect him to be pretty close.
15.) Mario Manningham - A lot of people have Manningham listed as a sleeper, but I am really high on this guy. Eli Manning will be throwing the ball all over the field, and with Steve Smith gone Manningham is now the #2 WR for the Giants. I think that this is similar to the Maclin situation last year, where he was drafted as a #3/4 WR and ended up producing like a #1. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he had better numbers than Nicks.

16.) Mike Wallace - Pretty low, right? He's just not a PPR guy. Like Desean Jackson has been, Wallace is a big play guy that will catch TD's but guys like Hines Ward and Jerico Cotchery will do the dirty work. I like him IRL, but I wouldn't want him as my #1 WR.
17.) Brandon Marshall - Talent wise, Marshall is a top 5 WR. The problem is that the Dolphins offense is pretty bad, and they have one of the worst QB situations in the league. With all of that being said, Marshall still caught 86 balls. He's someone that you could get as a 2nd or 3rd WR who could net you #1 WR production, but with the offense being so bad coupled with his questionable sanity, he slides in my rankings.
18.) Marques Colston - Colston, like Jennings, is a really good WR in an offense with too many weapons. He's a threat to go off in any game, but you never know. He's more of a #2 Fantasy WR.
19.) Chad Ochocinco - I'm on the Ochocinco bandwagon this year. I wouldn't draft him higher than the 7th round but I think he'll outproduce a lot of guys that are going ahead of him. He's still in great shape, and Brady is going to get him the ball. Draft him as a #3 who will produce like a #2.
20.) Stevie Johnson - I've seen Johnson being ranked in the top 16, but I don't see it. He's a nice receiver, and it looks like Buffalo is going to spread things out on offense, but with Lee Evans gone defenses are going to focus on shutting him down. He's going to have to prove me wrong, but I would feel really uncomfortable with him being the best WR on my team.
21.) Percy Harvin - Harvin is the main man in Minnesota this season, and McNabb is someone who can get him the ball. He's flying under the radar right now, but could be a valuable guy to have in PPR leagues.
22.) Mike Williams TB - To me, he's the most overrated fantasy WR going into this season. I would hate to have him as the #1 WR on my team. I wouldn't want him as my #2. He could very well produce this season, but I'm staying away from Williams this year unless he falls to me. Definitely not spending a 4th/5th round pick on him.
23.) Pierre Garcon - Garcon put together a solid season last year. He's not ready to take Reggie Wayne's #2 spot, but he's still a starting WR for the Colts. Manning will be throwing the ball all over the field again this season, and Garcon is a threat to go off each game. He's a pretty solid fantasy WR.
24.) Santonio Holmes - Holmes is one of those guys who's a better real life WR than he is a fantasy WR. I like him as more of a #3 WR who could produce like a #2.
25.) Anquan Boldin - Boldin's production went down in his first season in Baltimore. The offense is built around Ray Rice, who is really their 1st option in both the running and passing game. I think Boldin will bounce back and have a good year, but I can't justify ranking him higher than 25 at this point.
26.) Kenny Britt - Britt has the talent of a top 10 WR, but he hasn't had a QB to get him the ball. Hasselbeck isn't a stud, but I do think he'll improve the passing game. Britt is more of a #3 WR at this point.
27.) Julio Jones - I don't like rookie WR's but Jones looks like the real deal. He's a perfect fit in ATL's offense, and I think they'll try to use him like Dallas uses Bryant - short quick passes. Those catches will add up, and he could approach 65-70 catches. That's solid for a #3 fantasy WR.
28.) Jeremy Maclin - Maclin is a top 15 talent, but his offseason "illness" situation is pretty strange to say the least. He could end up being a steal, but don't draft him as anything more than a #3.
29.) Plaxico Burress - A few weeks ago Plax wouldn't have made my top 40, but I like what I've seen so far. The Jets are thin at WR and he's going to be the top redzone target. I think he'll have a solid comeback season.
30.) Santanna Moss - Moss had a nice season last year, but the Redskins passing offense should be pretty bad this year. I'm not a huge fan of midget WR's that want to go deep every play. Actually, just take AJ Green and let someone else pick Moss.

I agree with this I see Manningham blowing up.

I agree with you for the most part up to 8. I am down on Bowe due to his major letdown last year. No way in hell would I put Dez infront of Miles. Djax is another I am down on due to extreme inconsistency. I have Mike Wallace inside of my top 12 too.
Not a bad list at all though!

Nice work.
I would put Calvin and Fitzgerald ahead of Roddy though. The past few years he has had over 100+ balls thrown his way each season simply because they do not have a #2 WR. Now they have Julio Jones. Matt Ryan, even though is a douscher and i hate the falcons, is a smart QB and he will spread it around more this season.
Then i would put VJax ahead of Hakeem, but its super close.
Other than that i agree with most of it. Nice work.

Good list, I agree for the most part.
Don't like Manninggam as much as you.
And people forget how BA DEZ is

i agree, decent list. I agree with most of the names and the "neighborhood" they fall in, but if im crunching numbers mine would be a little different.
i like VJax and Bowe, but not as top 10 guys.
im a little more high on Marshall and Miles Austin
and guys i would have worked in lower on my list, Lance Moore, Amendola, Austin Collie, and Braylon Edwards.
im not touching Burress or Santana Moss
and guys like Desean, Mike Wiliams, Mike Wallace, etc fall down my list a little in PPR because like you said, they are deep threat guys. TDs/yards/catches seem so up an down year to year with guys like this, unless you are Randy Moss.

Amendola is someone I would include instead of the last two guys.
I like Collie, but he is one hit away from his career being over. I feel like we say the same thing about Lance Moore every year.

big Lance was 23rd ranked WR last year. Quietly.
pretty steady when healthy. Drew's favorite target and he scores a lot of TDs for being a possession guy.
he has 18 TDs combine in his last 2 full seasons along with a 72 catch average (08/10')

yeah my problem with vjax is he needs to show he's more than just a deep threat, especially to justify a top 10 ppr ranking

any thoughts on amendola in a PPR?

I think Vjax is in for a big year. Contract year for him and Rivers is going to be a machine. Amendola solid in PPRs as a late round guy.

Good list, pretty similar to mine, hopefully we are on target. I drafted Saturday in a 12 team ppr and with the 2nd pick (snake) went RB, QB, RB, and RB again in the 5th. I ended up with 12. Welker, 15. Manningham, 19. Ocho, and 30. Moss. I also got Amendola who I think should replace Plaxico at 29 at worst and possibly be higher. Last pick I took Dez Briscoe, my super sleeper wr.
