Three straight road games before a home game with the Colts. I researched back to 2000 and the Saints didn't have 3 straight road games in any of those seasons. Not complaining but I am thinking this might be the key stretch for a first round bye/ homefield. I understand the Greenbay and Atlanta games will be huge as well but I don't recall a team playing 3 straight road games. I am sure it happens every year for at least one team. Your thoughts?

4 Sun 10-2 @ Jaguars
5 Sun 10-9 @ Panthers
6 Sun 10-16 @ Buccaneers
7 Sun 10-23 Colts

consecutive road games are tough.. but if you have to have a schedule like that then those are the teams you want to play.

Plus, our dome will be so pumped to be back after three weeks all of our voices will be rested up to make Sage Rosenfails deaf.

Dome will be electric for sure. If only it were good ole Sage. haha I am sure it will be Manning though. I agree, if you have to play 3 straight road games, those are the three. Tampa will most likely taper off this year after a solid year last year. They didn't really do anything in the offseason to improve significantly. Jacksonville has QB issues as does Carolina. Still thats 3 in a row with 2 being in our division.

oh.. we will start off playing manning. but I got with the Ponzi guy from Miami and we are doing Mercenary bonuses for injuring quarterbacks.

Vilma declined to answer any questions about the bounties.

whenever ya get sumpin like that in schedule there has to be the balance to the other side somewhere.

Play @ dirty birds Nov 13

then BYE week

then 4 of last 6 at home, 2 home-2 away (MN & TN)-2 home

return after BYE for NYG here for MNF. 2 weeks off for prep and they play Philly the week before

final 2 games are NFC South at home

Jaguars, Panthers, Bucs...none are cold weather games, none have particularly good home game atmospheres/rabid fanbases, non are projected to be playoff contenders except the Bucs.

If you're going to go 3 on the road, not a bad time to do it.

I agree the bye week after Atlanta is big plus the extra day of rest because the next game is a Monday night. The Atlanta game is always physical so a good 2 weeks of rest afterwards is a luxury.

The way I see it, the Saints will be going on an arse kicking tour before coming home and having a replay of SB XLIV

Not a problem.

We usually smash the Bucs at their place so we'll see how that goes. For some reason i feel like we play better on the road sometimes. (Not playoffs)

And honestly, by then, who knows what Peyton will look like after coming back from injury and no reps. Here's to hoping he doesn't get the kinks out before that game

Sweep that. Easily. Worst case would be one loss.

I've seen a team (Baltimore, to be exact) play 3 straight home games, but I've never seen 3 straight road games. That's crazy.

I don't think Jacksonville is a total pushover. I agree we should beat them but to totaly discredit them (especially on the road) doesn't make since. Just my opinion

Jacksonville is a pretty good team. They barely missed the playoffs last season...
