IF (I'll use "if" until more facts/possible suspensions about the shady's bar situation are official) LSU starts JLee or Mett against Oregon, how does that change oregon's defensive strategy and game planning?

Does it put them at any disadvantage to have to now prepare for a different quarterback just ~2 weeks before the game when they've been expecting a mobile QB like JJ?

Strategy becomes stop the run, force the Qb to beat you. Which is probably the same as with JJ, except they don't have to worry as much about Lee or Mett scrambling by in a flash.

Oregon has not spent 1 second preparing for LSU during Fall Camp thus far.

I think they should use the "Chewbacca Defense"

Oh you were talking about "ON" the field...

If true that is ignorant. You're not playing just another team, you're playing a top 5 team on national television with the whole country watching....out of all the games THIS is the one where I would want my team to be over prepared if anything.

There would likely be a big difference between preparing for JLEE and Jefferson.

You do not have to play the QB run with JLee in there as you do with JLee.

That being said, I would take JLEE everyday over Jefferson.

Honestly, Oregon's defensive coaches have to be having nightmares right now.

They have to study 2010 LSU tape.
Louisville offensive tape from Krag's years
Now they have to study Stud's OC days at BGU
And on top of that, they have no idea which qb will face them and play calling tendancies towards each qb

All they do know is we will run the ball with Ware.

I would think that if JJ is not playing it would simplify their defensive strategy. No longer have to account for the qb running.

As far as game plan being implemented you are probably correct. The coaches and whoever breaks down the game films have probably being studying LSU for months.

... or that Ware will line up at FB and block for Ford--or Gore--or Blue.

Or that Ware might throw a pass.

This is a good post BUT if they can stop the run they will stop us so I am sure that is by far their #1 priority!

I agree is as much as they haven't installed the game plan yet. But you are naive if you don't think they've gone over specific things related to LSU in fall camp. LSU has been doing this since Spring in anticipation of Oregon. But yeah, LSU also hasn't installed the gameplan yet. That starts tomorrow.

Oregon has installed a more expansive defensive package this fall camp. They will install more offensive plays as well.

Both defenses are going to have to adapt in this game. Our offense will be different this year as well as LSU's.

However, you are silly to think that taking out a qb that is a running threat makes our job harder. JL and Mett will be one less key.
