I think the coaching staff is hoping Brown can win the job from strief. Strief may be strong at the point of attack but the saints ask their tackles to pull and get to the second level alot and many times strief lacks the quickness to get where he needs to be.

80% Strief. Probably knows the line nuances better.

Probably Strief for now, but let's not kid ourselves. This is Strief's 6th season and he's been a backup for a reason. He couldn't beat out Stinchcomb when both of them were healthy, so if Strief wins the job were not going to see an improvement over Stinchcomb.

My hope is that Brown gets it together and wins the job sometime during the season.

Strief seems more ideal at RT than Brown.

I would hope that Strief is better than Stinch 2010.

That's what comforts me. I really don't see how it could be worse than last year.

Speaking of Word Smithing, I'm gonna start a third thread on the new kick off rule. First I need to come up with a way to spell it differently.

Whatever you call it, end with "don't ban me".

I'm just gonna end every thread title with "Guess who's not on IR?" from now on.

Last year our Oline did not play well, causing amoung others Brees not to play well. Last Friday night the first string Oline did not look good.
