There is a brochure that comes out monthly that has a bunch in it. Kind of like the old News on Wheels, but for tractors, farming equipment, and atvs. I can't think of the name, but I know my Dad has a few at the house. I'll check it out this evening if I go over there.

Thanks... also ask him where he gets them. I've seen lots of News on Wheels type brochures but never any for tractors.

He's been going to all the local tractor places looking at new and used ones so he may have got it there. I'll ask him.

I'd rather be able to go check the tractor out before I bid on it or buy it...

What size are you looking for? The last one I bought, it took 4 months to find. Small used tractors under 30hp with a live PTO bring in big bucks if they are in good shape. I had to travel a bunch of times to find the right one for the right price. I bought mine out of Lake Chuck. I found it on Craigs' list. I did the internet thing and the news on wheels for tractor thing with no luck.

You can check local tractor places, but they are very high on prices on used tractors.

I bought a 40 hp JD last year. There was not a whole lot of difference in a good used and a brand new one. I went w/ the new one.

I'm looking for something in the 35-50 hp range. The majority of what I'm seeing is 30 and below. I don't really care about year... just want something that runs good. Preferably a Deere, Massey Ferguson, International........ or Ford.

21k. That's with 6' bush hog, front end loader, and a blade. It was a little over 15k just for the tractor.

The last one I bought was a 1975 Ford 2000 diesel which was completely rebuilted 2 years before I got it.Its a 32hp tractor. It had less then 1700 hours on it. I paid $4000 with a bushog.

Goodluck looking and if you buy a used one, have it checked out first.

I priced a 55 hp or so Kabota 4wd, front end box, canopy and 6' Bushhog brand bushhog at around $26k in Longiew, Texas. New and this was around January. Texas is cheaper and if you can find someones address (my wife's family has several farms) you can get it with no sales tax in LA.

I haven't bought one yet but I've been tirekicking for a couple years. I just don't feel like stroking that check.

And I've bought my last three trucks and my wifes last three Suburbans in Longview and Terrell at about 5k less than LA. Did pay tax on those but still cheaper.
