I see that Edna Karr is playing Arlington (TX) Bowie in Cowboys Stadium on 5 Sep. Do they have any DI talent?

To say they have a few players is an understatement. They have a few players who are getting recruited by some big time schools, and everyone on that team can FLY!!!

Awesome! I love it when Louisiana teams come over here and show that Texas isn't the only place with talented high school football teams. Abilene High beat Franklinton last year, but they left with the respect of the people over here in west Texas. Bowie was like 7-3 so Edna Karr should be able to handle them.

Even if Bowie isn't as good, they are still probably going to win. It's tough for LA teams to go to Texas and win because differences in the rules really favor the Texas teams that are more used to playing by those rules, with cut blocks and what-not. There are things that are allowed in TX that aren't in LA so the LA teams don't always know how to prepare for it.

Really the big difference in NCAA rules used in Texas and Federation rules in Louisiana are NCAA rules allow blocking below the waist. That can be something that is difficult to get used to I'm sure, but Franklinton played Abilene off their feet last year. What got them were the amount of players. Franklinton sort of wore down towards the end of the game last year.

NCAA rules won't negate Karr's speed.

The Purple Knight has built a mighty fine program at Karr... Their D-Line is probably one of the best in the Nation, plus they have a very good corner(Noel Ellis) in the secondary... But before those Cougars make the trip to Dallas, Coach Juluke will meet his Alma Mater on the 27th, which could be a post season preview...

Nice photos from the LSU camp... The Karr player with jersey #5 is Standish Dobard who is a very good hybrid TE/WR...

Leonard Fournette goes to St. Augustine H.S., and he has a chance to be a special player if he can keep his size in order

being so large at such a young age will make that task a little more difficult

Yup. Kenny Hilliard is a great example of a guy like Fournette. Kenny is 6'2" 235 now. But hes gonna be a badass H-back in the mold of Jacob Hester for us regardless

I was worried about this too, until i saw some pics of him up close. he's really not that big, esp compared to a guy like Hilliard.

look at some of his pics. He is already physically matured. Hilliard still has baby fat all over him.

and Karr is overrated. Their kids are getting a lot of play because their coach is doing a good job getting them into camps. It doesnt mean they are all future college players.
