Just more ESPN bs. They should stick to reporting sports news and not trying to make news. They are way too big and I hope someone takes they down.

Don't watch the clip. It will make you throwup when they are announcing all the panelist. I had to close the window when they got to a name that rhymed with burd-beat.

They lost me as soon as they said that players should make money based on the sales of signed jerseys. What is to say a booster doesn't give a kid $5k for a jersey. Most of the people on the panel were horrible.

Look at the schools these guys represent. Of course they are fine with paying players in that way, because they have the richest boosters.

If they want to curb all of this shite, why don't these coaches take a pay cut more in line with the reasonable range rather than claiming "poor athletes".

College sports are allowed exemptions because they aren't supposed to be a profit-making business, yet many of them make huge profits. Easiest thing to do is take tax exemption status away from the NCAA and it's schools.

First, MOST schools do NOT make much if any on college football and Second, WTF does a coaches salary have to do with college FB players(and ALL THE REST of that colleges sports team)getting paid ? All the money that schools make goes to the rest of the sports team that LOSE a LOT of money.

Do you want to kill major college sports or are you a tulane fan who is just pissed that your team is never going to be a factor in college FB?

This is largely do the inordinate salaries being given to coaches by half of these teams.

It's really easy to say pay the players since everyone else is making bank, when this is supposed to be amateur athletics. Free education, room and board, seems to be worthless now to most people.

So I am a Tulane fan because I don't want business people making bank without putting back into the system. If you are a business, which college sports, and college football in particular are, then you should get no tax and anti-trust exemption status. We've allowed it to be turned into a business, and so now it should be treated and held accountable as such.

I hope you know that almost all of Les Miles salary is paid by the TAF and is NOT paid by LSU right ? You starting to sound like a college professor who just got laid off or is about too. You hate college sports(FB) and it's success is killing you ! LOL. Hope it works out for you. Coaches salary has NOTHING to do with what players should/would get.

Where did I say LSU paid most of Les' salary. Nice try to deflect the argument, but the point is still made that LSU and TAF make huge money and these coaches are overpaid by a buttload. In the end, it's led us to this point when coaches are making $4 million +/year and the revenue brought in is nearly $100 million for some of these teams.

And where does that money go? It goes to FUND all the other non revenue producing sports. Without all the money college football makes there would be no other sports. You're the only one that brought up coaches salaries. That was not the topic of the OP.

It says at the end of the video sportscenter.

So I'm assuming its going to be one of the segments during sportscenter. I'm sure it will be on one of the 10 episodes of sportscenter each day.
