agree. I'd rather Miami over FSU, although FSU is much closer.

FSU and Miami should be 1,2 in any discussion except that A&M is basically just laying it out there for easy pickings

Miami would not have the biggest market in this deal Texas A&M would. Miami also has crappy facilities and they would add a 2nd private school in the SEC. There enrollment would be the lowest in the conference and they have a hard time selling out the piece of crap stadium they play in. So no Miami should be at the bottom of that list not the top.

I can't figure out why, but Miami just isn't very popular in Miami. 15,000 turned out for their game against Maryland last year...when both teams were contenders for the ACC title.

Agreed they are not that popular nationally like people think. FSU and Florida are more popular than that school. ESPN just loves to broadcast there 20 year old tradition every chance they get.

Facilities suck, no support, private
And Vandy is also private

They have more instant SEC-type swagger than A&M and Mizzou combined. TV sets all over America would watch Da U play before these others. And again: South Beach!

I have nothing against a Miami addition, and in fact, I wish it would happen. But it won't because Miami isn't as big as we sometimes think it is.

Miami does NOT have SEC-esque tradition. They have little fan support.

OK, I'll concede their fan support but they do have a mystique that half of those under consideration don't have. We were saying their 2001 team was the GOAT. Half the NFL are former Canes.
Cmon people what an epic freaking roadtrip it would be!

dude Miami doesn't have near the draw you think they have. They also can't sell out there stadium on a consistent bases so tell me why would we want someone who stadium sits 74,476, and they can't consistently sell it out.

To party with LeBron of course.

I want both FSU and Da U.

More than likely are only adding 1 team this year, and that' A&M. No way both Miami and FSU comes to the SEC.

Seems to me, big cities are usually more pro team oriented. Don't know why. Same with DC, New York, Philly, and Chicago.

You forgot crappy fanbase. Which could be good. When Miami is the visiting team you could keep all the tickets for your home school fans.

Miami is not the Southeast.
Big TV market where people don't watch them or care about them.
National TV appeal. Hardly.
Cool tailgate opportunity???? only if you like hanging out in the middle of a giant parking lot in Dania, FL. You do know that they don't play in South Beach don't you.
