I recently heard about the suicide of the actress that played Auntie Em in the Wizard of Oz.

She was depressed in the lack of demand for her services and decided to end it all.

She fixed herself up, put on her best blue dress, laid out newspaper clippings about herself that she had collected during her career, swallowed a handful of sleeping pills, laid on her couch, tied a plastic bag over her head and covered herself with a gold satin blanket.

Creepy

Anyone else know any?

Brad Renfro.. Huck Finn from "Tom and Huck" I remember he killed himself around the same time Heath Ledger died.. He must have been thinking to himself in the afterlife "shite!!" after word got out about Ledger's death

Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, during the filming of "The Crow".

quote:

On March 31, 1993 at EUE Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina, Brandon Lee sustained an accidental gunshot wound on the set of the film. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died. There were eight days left before shooting of the film was to be completed. The scenes involving Lee and Shinas' characters in their apartment had been saved for the end of filming so that Lee could work the final week without makeup.
In the story, Lee's character comes to his apartment where his girlfriend is being raped by a gang of thugs, and then he is shot and killed by Michael Massee's character, playing one of the thugs. Weeks prior to the event, a scene was being filmed that required dummy rounds to be shown being loaded into the handgun. Inexperienced crew members, pressured by time constraints, purchased live ammunition, removed the bullets, dumped the gunpowder, and then replaced the bullets back into the empty cartridges with the live primers still in place.

TLDNR version = he was shot during filming with a gun they "THOUGHT" was filled with blanks.

No it can be any type of death. I find suicides to be the most interesting usually.

That's the BBQ pit guy right? I wonder why some of these people get so creative with their suicides?

Every now and then I like to tell people that Jeff Goldblum has died. It's not true, but he's been in the fringe for so long that not many people are all that frazzled by it. It's basically a plausible story.

Jeannie Millar. Soft porn star of the 90s. Made love to her many times in my youth.

(speaking of creepy)

quote:

On May 29, 2008, Jeannie Millar committed suicide in Los Angeles, California. During the last couple of years, Jeannie scaled back her acting career, married her third husband, and became a mother to Hannah - a cute baby with Downs Syndrome. Then two months later, Jeannie ended her life. Jeannie did not OD on drugs or prescription meds, but it wasn't accidental either. After autopsy, the Los Angeles Coroner classified her death as "Suicide by Hanging."
