A Feast for Crows

There was one guy on the coaching changes board that swore it was not crowton but wouldn't say who it was. Roaaad? i think it was him who was saying that but i might be mistaken.

But it was crowton.

this board can be tough. i have noticed lately that responders are fighting back though. my opinion is that while crowton was officially OC for the cotton bowl, the game plan and play calling was taken from him. i have no proof of this except the circumstantial proof that our offense looked organized (instead of confused), our QB looked comfortable in the pocket and we didn't mass substitute packages that revealed our upcoming play. in short, there isn't a way in hell crowton was calling the shots that game.

Is there any truth to this. Is that the type of output we can expect now.

Gary just found the play action in his playbook after the arky game, it was stuck to the back of the short side option.

Agree with Grandad - granted, the staff obviously realized the mismatch/advantage outside-deep, but the entire game was so out of character for Crowton

crowton in name but we'll never really know who was calling plays.

Doesn't matter anyway. That was last season, different deal here folks.

FWIW, I believe the current staff when they say they all have a hand in planning and such. No one prepares a game plan based on being up by 20 after a quarter or down 20 after a quarter so we won't really know the effect of this until it's game action and the shite's hitting the fan.......

all the rest is pure guessing and speculation

LSU GrandDad, it was Crowtong. People will refuse to accept it, but when he had 5 weeks to prepare, he did just fine. His issue was game planning in 1 week and then playcalling. He was able to come up with an effective gameplan and didn't have to make too many changes to it in that game.

It was Crowton calling the plays, don't try to let your P&G glasses try to convince you otherwise.

Had the offense laid an egg in the Cotton, the rant answer would be Miles.

well, i'll be damned. crowton is a better play caller when he knows he's leaving and doesn't really give a shite. i never doubted his knowledge or experience but i did doubt his ability to call plays. i think he got way too complicated and confused everyone, including himself. imo, miles should have stepped in earlier.

It was either Les, Crowton, or Stud. I've heard all three. I doubt if anyone on here really knows. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a combo of Les and Crowton.

It was the Aggie defense! Big12 (or whatever they are called now) doesn't match up well with SEC offenses. The running game was gashing them.

it reminded me of the sugar bowl when we throttled notre dame. Then fisher was on his way out.
