Timing of Coach K's announcement and USA Today Poll

Interesting that they've known 3 weeks about Coach K's diagnosis... and per Miles, "we quickly adjusted responsibilities"
Did they wait until Coach's poll is announced to make sure they don't slip in preseason polls? This announcement would definitely send them down.

I think this has been said like 354 times, but more than likely they wanted to tell the players first before going public. First day of practice. Voila.

now THIS is a conspiracy i can get behind. Doesn't hurt to be #4 in preseason when they are picking between maybe 1 loss teams at the end of the season. Just saying.

I'll go out on a limb and say there is no conspiracy, calculation or motive behind anything that has happened. It is what is is and we'll have to deal with it as a program.

Yes, I am stupid for not thinking maybe they'd want to meet with the team first. But honestly, most of the team has been working out on campus all Summer.
And I'm sorry if this has been posted 354 other times. I'm not reading every damn "Kragthorpe" thread. So I thought this was an open forum to post my own question. I searched and didn't find this question.
Everyone bent because I asked a question, go suck an infected dick and leave my thread. Looke at my other posts today concerning Kragthorpe -- I've been very vocal about getting people to understand why he needs to step down. Most people have felt "Parkinson's isn't that bad, no need to step down until he is like Michael J. Fox."
Are you telling me our Athletic Department hasn't thought about how this will impact the preseason polls? How often has the BCS Champion been ranked worse than Top 20?

Quite certain the team and coaches don't care about that poll. They're practicing and getting ready for Oregon.
