My husband (not LSUdad) and I are heading for cooler weather soon.

Would love to have some suggestions for this area. We will be celebrating our anniversary but don't need anything too upscale. Suggestions just for everyday meals would be great too.

Lake louise is worth seeing. Not sure how much the room or meals are (can't remember). There is a nice little walking trail around the lake.

Yes, we are definitely going to Lake Louise. I don't know many of the details of the trip because my husband planned it.

This is the first trip in 28 years that I didn't have to plan. I'm thrilled not to have to sweat all the reservations/planning/itinerary.

As dry as it's been, I'd love to spend a week in Ketchikan right now.

Lake Louise and the Banff Palace are an incredible experience. True majesty with a bit of old time colonialism in today's perspective. Stunning and relaxing. There's actually a lost room in the Banff Palace that was walled up during construction that hasn't been found to this day,( I really haven't researched in a few years because the story is so much better if it remains lost )

Worth the visit. Take the ski lift, but watch out for the mountain goats. They like to butt you from behind...

Roger, went to that too. But if you seen one rodeo, you seen em all, except not on this scale! The wagon wheel races are sweet.

Seriously, the got these white mountain goats and Dall sheep on the trails and stuff up there. They are pretty much tame and if you don't give em something to eat, they will butt you from behind as you are walking away. Mean little bastards like a camel.
