I just got off the phone with a lady at Cowboys Stadium and she said the parking pass lots won't open until 2pm on gameday. That seems a little hard to believe, only giving 4 or 5 hours to tailgate before the game. She really seemed to be struggling to find an answer for me, so I'm not sure that I trust this completely. Anybody have any insider info on what time the pass lots will be opening if it's any different than what this chick told me? I'm dying to get in there and start tailgating!

we were set up in rangers parking much earlier than that for the Cotton Bowl. I doubt that it will be cut that short.

Not that I really want to tailgate for that long for this game. First week of september in Dallas in concrete lots doesn't sound like my idea of fun.

That's what I'm thinking. There will be lines of LSU fans starting early in the morning waiting to get in to tailgate, and I can't see them keeping them out for very long.

Would be funny as hell to see people start setting up tents and chairs next to their vehicles in line.

For Cowboy games and opening day we park in line and setup our tailgate right there, when the lot opens we drive around and park right at our spot, works pretty well and can start whenever you want that way....not many people from here have a clue about what real tailgating is about....

Why's that?

They don't care about LSU's tailgating proclivity.

It generates more money for Arlington. No tailgating equals more people in bars spending money. Smart if you ask me. Sucks for the people going to the game.

Well isn't gameday going to be there and don't they start their show at 9 am CST?? That would mean they need some fans so why would their be tailgating early??

Doesn't sound crazy. Probably a way to keep things from getting out of hand.

Reliant stadium in Houston doesn't even allow tailgating.

JJ doesn't give a shite about people being out there for Gameday.

Cotton Bowl originally had the 5 hour rule in place...it was then moved to Noon, but on gameday the lots were open at 11am.

Maybe a few phone calls to the Cotton Bowl Committee (who work with Cowboys Stadium reps) to push the time earlier would help...

What about the RV lot?

Anybody know the earliest you can be there? I thought I remember hearing 12:00 on Friday.

we rented several spots in a private business lot near the stadium. i won't give the website on TD.com because I don't want to advertise for them, but we are starting earlier - 8am I think. You can fnid it if you look (Google maybe). We didn't want to take the chance of not being able to start til noon. We paid $40 a spot.

Hey OneStory, can you email me the name of that business? I may just sell my parking pass and set up there instead if they still have spots. BradleyJ33@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance!

And after a fight between Dallas and Houston fans, plus complaints about people parking in the parking lot to tailgate and not go to the game they changed their rules.

I haven't experienced it for a football game myself but it was a big debate here then for the US vs. Mexico game they said no tailgating too.
