A lot of chatter about it. But can't find a real link yet.

Broke by a KC radio host. Not seeing it on any major sites or the Lions forums. He looks pretty solid, though.

Had 5 sacks in a limited role. Speed edge rusher.

I'm sure they are concerned with the Smith suspension.

To me, the more passrushers, the better! We need to get after the qb.

Smith
Brown
Jordan
Galette
Romeus
McBride

Romeus. Lol. I laugh at that name every time I read it. Sounds like a Greek god.

For some reason Deke Bellevia is too stupid to pronounce his name so he calls him Romeris.

I swear, dude's job requirements consist of 1) show up, and 2) speak fricking English.

I guess he's batting .500.

Turk is only 26 and seemed to have his best season last year. Had 3 FF along with the sacks. This would be a great signing at this point.

Hopefully he's a more productive signing than Jimmy Wilkerson was last season.

Actually, just now, according to a tweet from @LHolderCBS (Larry Holder), it has been verified that McBride is now a New Orleans Saint.

Its starting to hit all over. Apparently he was on IR in 08 and picked up by Detroit. He plays DE and some DT. Probably Hargrove replacement?

A fairly insightful comment I discovered on nola.com (unlikely, I know).

quote:

From a Lions fan - Turk was a key member of the DL rotation last year (especially when injuries to KVB and Avril hit - hence the 8 starts). He's got a nice burst off the edge, and is strong at the point as well. He was drafted as a DE/DT swing guy, but is really more of a DE.

He was drafted as a by the Chiefs when Gunther Cunningham was there (now the DC in Detroit) in '07 (Hard Knocks year), and struggled out of the gate a bit adjusting the NFL game. When the Chiefs brought in the 3-4 and a new coaching staff in '08 or '09 he was moved to OLB, and lost in upwards of 25 lbs. The guy is just not a 34 rush OLB, he's not built for it, and needless to say, he was cut during the 2009 season. The Lions claimed him off waivers, and began his transition back to a 4-3 end, his natural position. When 2010 rolled around, he was back in shape, and ready to roll. He was the first DE off the bench behind starters Cliff Avril and Kyle Vanden Bosch, and ahead of Lawrence Jackson. He ended the year with five sacks in backup duty, and overall played very well.

Most thought he would have been brought back, as the Lions seem intent on having a dominant DL, and placing McBride back in it would have been much better than the alternative.

I bid him all the best, hope he helps the Saints this year as much as he helped the Lions last year.

I'm pretty sure it was Turk who used to fall asleep in meetings when they were on Hard Knocks.
