Looking to purchase a GPS for my boat.

What are some of your suggestions from either experience or a wish list?

Haven't shopped for one in awhile and I'm curious at to what might be my better options.

I was just at Cabellas looking at them. The Lowrance HDS-5 looked pretty bad arse for the money. Only $699. I ended up getting a hand held because we are about to get a new boat

Have a Humminbird 998c SI and its badass, havent even learned everything on it yet though.

Got it on E-Bay and saved about $500.
Got my trolling motor there too and saved about $300.

Have two Garmins, one is a GPSmap76Cx handheld for hunting and the other is a GPSmap441s in the bay boat. love them both, garmin is as user friendly as they come. If you're a big bass fisherman hummingbird has some awesome graphics for looking at bottom contours and structure.
