Good tamale recommdations around BTR?

Craving some good tamales and apparently Cantu's in Denham still hasn't reopened.

Any recs for good tamales around here???

I'm going to get some shite for this, but Doe's Eat Place has decent tamale's with an awesome chili on top.

I'm still waiting to be crucified by all the Doe's haters on this board. At least I know I'm not the only one who likes them.

He has a trailer on Airline in Prairieville close to Hwy 73, get the mild

There's far too much of that kind of stuff on this board, which keeps me away from it.

As for Doe's - tried them when they first came and was kind of "ehhh" on them - but that's been years, so maybe time for another try.

I read about it a couple of months ago on here somewhere it was in a NOLA article. ETA in BR a very good alternative from the store is Mickeys' out of Houma, which I do pick up at Mathernes'.
