Lundquist & your preference: LSU or Louisiana State ?

I prefer LSU, Some seem to really dislike Vern calling us Louisiana State.
Seems we are universally known as simply LSU, so there is no need to draw it out and stress the longer name.

We should be called LSU or Louisiana State University. Or "Ole Lou" if you're really old school. I wouldn't call LSU "Louisiana State" any more than I would call UCLA "California Los Angeles".
But no, I don't really care what outsiders call LSU.

The university prefers LSU or Louisiana State University and has specifically advised the media not to use Louisiana State.

No one says Florida state university...Ohio state university..Oregon state university..etc.

I've always like when Verne says Louisiana State. LSU is of course always used and excepted but i hope people get off Verne's dick about this, i mean really the "university" part is implied.

I like when Verne says "touchdown, Louisiana State." It's sort of old school. He does say LSU a lot too though, to be fair.
And at least he knows how to pronounce 'LSU.'
It's "Ell Ess-shoe", not "ELL ESSSSSSSSSS, YOU" like Kaare Johnson and Bill Francques pronounce it.

I am with PAtiger, I LOVE when VL says "touchdown Louisiana State University!", but I am good either way, as long as we never start calling oursleves "The U" like the car jackers at Miami (NOT being racist, just saying) or "Ole Miss" (sure, it was in the "Ole" days when we last won the SEC) or THE Ohio State University (as in The place where our long time loved coach harbored thugs at three diff programs)...then im ok

It's LSU
One of the SID's (Paul M I'm sure) from the 70's made it his lifes mission to make sure the media used LSU instead of La State and I agree with him.
And yes it does matter to me. Screw that old geezer Verne....who fricking names their child Verne anyway?

I don't have a preference in the LSU/Louisiana State debate but I would love to see more people refer to us by our proper name of Fighting Tigers.
