NBA 2K11 Freezing at NBA Logos screen

Just a heads-up.
has anyone had this problem?
when you start up NBA 2K11, it shows a few screens, then goes to the screen with the logos of all the teams before the smoke comes out and "...He took flight..." is said.
Mine started freezing on the logos screen a few days ago. Turns out, this is becoming a common problem with this game.
To fix it, or at least make it playable, you have to disable your PS3's internet connection.
Once you do that, the game will load up like normal, but your internet will still be disabled.
i was told that this happens because the Playstation Network hackings...
has anyone had this problem?

i experienced that with a few another game too. so just take off automatic psn sign in, youll be good to go. log in once you need to.

It usually happens when the game tries to connect to the 2K network to download things. I had this exact problem with 2k10, but although the game totally freezes it just takes it a few seconds and it will continue. No problems through the season, but a month or two after the season ends this issue always crops up.

Go into "game utility data" (the top option in the game submenu), delete the 2K file, and then redownload it when you put the game back in.
Done.

Thanks alot. Me and my friend have been having this problem too. Figured the 2K servers were down. I seriously almost took the game back

All good. I play in an online league, and this has happened to probably 5-10 guys. All of em have said this is exactly how to fix it.
I never had it happen to me but I'm almost positive that should correct it.
