Tiger To Miss The British Open

Tiger has announced that he will be missing the Open Championship/British Open due to the injuries in his leg that have not healed.

I think its physical. he believes he can win as long as he can swing a club. he can't swing a club right now and he knows coming back injured has hurt him in the past. I think he takes the rest of the season off and guns for the Masters 2012

The PGA is in 6 weeks. Unless he can play a warm up event the week before, why bother coming back at all in 2011?

Good. I hope he sits out the whole year and comes back next year stronger than ever.
I've heard multiple times that he's out for the year but WILL be back in December for the Chevron.

I would have probably said that about a month ago, but I tore my MCL a few weeks ago and have been trying to go without seeing the doctor. Well I hot golf balls yesterday thinking I would be good. I had a knee brace on but I thought I was going to die. My right knee is messed up and you just cant make a strong impact/follow through with a bad knee. I do think a lot of it is mental with Tiger, but right now it probably is more phsical. Dude is just all around in bad shape right now. His game, his health, his mind. Everything.
