esp after his meltdown on the back nine at Augusta

it wasn't really a meltdown. He just stopped making putts. What did he shoot on the front 9? 31? The guy was making some epic comeback and then the putts stop falling. He was driving the ball better than he had in a long time. But, just like the past several years, Augusta's greens stopped him.

Then I guess you should research how the world golf rankings work.

Tiger has been testing new putters for Nike for hte past month or so

The system is a little complicated, but it accounts for a guy's full body of work and not a snapshot after a handful of good performances. It's actually a really good system IMO.

He's got a fricked up leg, that's why he is not playing.

Exactly. And he's starting to learn that he can't recover from injury as quickly at his age.

I don't like the WGR system. If you don't play in lets say a month, you drop 20 spots, two months 40. What about the guys who are grinding and making cuts, regardless of what tour, this does not make sense. Right now Tiger is not the 17th best golfer in the world. Play and prove it.

What makes the system awful is how points are allocated. Lee Westwood got a ton of points winning in Singapore or somewhere, more points than the tour stop that week. Westwood was the only player in the top 30 in the world in the field, and he was paid an appearance fee.

If he had half the heart of Ben Hogan, he'd be playing.

11 months after almost dying in a car wreck, he was back on the tour. That summer he went on to win the 1950 US Open...after doctors said he might never walk again.

LINK

quote:

Hogan, who was the driver, threw himself across Valerie's lap, likely saving her life and his own. (The steering wheel hit the driver's seat.) Valerie sustained only minor injuries, but the force of the crash broke Hogan's collarbone, pelvis and ankle and crushed one of his ribs. He later developed a blood clot that nearly killed him. Doctors were not sure he would ever walk again, let alone play golf.

They need to make a movie about him!

But he is the richest golfer EVER, and is AFRAID OF failing. SELF INFLICTED WOUND That will NEVER HEAL. He has what they call a LOSERS LIMP. When the going gets tough, TIGER Bails OUT.
