Just watched it the other night, and its back on again. Really enjoyed the idea and execution for the most part. Thought the end was a bit forced to wrap it up, but well paced and thought out. Damon's accent was all over the joint, felt like he was trying channel his inner black hawk down chief.

Scary to think how close Hollywood could get to actual real life.

Eh. I couldn't get past the political statements enough to enjoy the movie, otherwise I probably would have liked it. I can't stand it when Hollywood feels they need to send a political message. We get it, you're all super leftists who hate Bush

Well, they never specifically called out Bush on anything and the government did indeed send our troops on a wild goose chase based on shotty intelligence at best. It's not like this movie was some fairy tale. I enjoyed it.

Their intent and purpose was pretty clear. They were trying to send a message and Damon is pretty outspoken about his politics. It's just not smart to make a film that has huge political messages because it's going to turn a lot of people off regardless.

I liked it. I had heard nothing about it before watching it a couple of weeks ago.

Meh. Like I said. It's not like this was some fairy tale. It was just a movie and should be treated as such. If you let a movie like this affect your personal political feelings then you're pretty weak-minded and should stick to the Harry Potters of the movie world so at least you know you're watching a fairy tale.

The movie had some good action/military sequences in it, but I just couldn't get past the forced political statement. Love how a CWO is the one to uncover this grand political ploy about WMD. Just seemed overly forced to me

i hate it when people bring politics into movies

and when i say that, i mean the viewers who are always trying to find some deeper meaning or political agenda in the movie

it's a movie, get over it
