On ESPN Radio's "Mike and Mike In The Morning" Scottie Pippen adjusted his comments about LeBron James being the greatest player to ever play the game, better than Michael Jordan...
quote:

"The comments that I made were basically giving LeBron some props as a player, not to dismantle any player like Michael," Pippen said after a youth camp session at the Bulls/Sox academy. "We all know that he's the greatest player that ever played the game.

"I think it was taken a little bit out of context. I felt like I was drawing more of a conclusion from the statistics more than the accolades."

"I talk to Michael all the time," Pippen said. "There was no problem between me and Michael. I think [the media] chewed into it a little too much."

"Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to play the game. But I may go as far as to say LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game..."

Exactly how is that taken out of context.

Obviously, he realizes it was a stupid comment, but to blame the media is pathetic on his part.

Jordan fricked his wife and Pippen had to retaliate.

After what LeBron did in the Finals, he certainly realized how stupid he sounded. Maybe he'll think before he speaks now.

Pippen just mad because if it wasn't for Jordan nobody would remember his name.

The way it was taken out of context was clearly that he was stating lebron "could" be the greatest ever.. As in in the future..

Nobody was saying right now

Lebron has already accomplished something TWICE that Jordan's teams never did--losing an NBA Finals.

At this point in his career, LeBron is all thrust and no vector.

I was calling Pippen an idiot. I wasn't directing that to the OP. Great work detective!

Not sure if this was supposed to be a jab at Lebron

But he has taken 2 different teams to the finals and has done so at a younger age than Jordan won his first finals.

If the heat win the finals next year then what?
