Monica Geller: Coke Addict or Anorexic?

Call me a cynic but there is no damn way that Monica Geller lost all that weight from high school and can spend her days lazily in a coffee shop or working in a professional kitchen and not gain the weight back over the next 12 years. Here are the arguments for both...
Coke Addict: She's a hyper neurotic, over energetic mess who is obsessive compulsive and a mix of emotions. It snows in Central Park and up Monica's nose.
Anorexic: There has never been scene or discussion of Monica working out. So lets say, she doesnt do rails...her genetics cannot withstand a normal persons life without some form of excercise.
Thoughts?

Well, since she married a weight-fluctuating pill addict in Chandler, I'll vote for cokehead...

Coke for sure.
On a Friends note, I watched this show off and on when it came on years back.
I recently caught some reruns and wonder why I allowed myself to watch them years back. God this show is awful.
Phebe might be one of the most annoying characters off all time.

Oh, total coke head.
She's in the service industry in New York and she comes from a fairly wealthy Long Island family.
Total fricking coke head.
ETA: After discussing this with some coworkers, I'm starting to think that she's both.

Agree with this.
But I really liked the show, just not Phoebe. Channeler and Joey are hilarious.

Coke. She would probably be dead if she was A.

"Why can't Friends be more realistic in their portrayal of young adults in Manhattan?!?"

False, she was Chandlers personal trainer for an episode.

You haven't watched many episodes then, there are several times when she's seen at the gym, working out, or in work out clothes.

The scenes with Joey and Ross were the funniest ones.

there were tons of scenes and discussions of her working out. it was implied in one episode that she went out for a run every morning (the one where she gets chandler to exercise with her)
beyond that, there were tons of scenes showing her in exercise clothing, implying that she just got done working out.
eta: i see others have mentioned this before me

That was addressed in the show and it had to do with someone taking over the apt from a dead relative. NYC uses rent control so some places can have the same rent for decades if the person never moves out or moves in new residents on the DL

I know it's sometimes fun, but some of the dumbest discussions pop up on this board
The Karate Kid thread a week or two ago still has this one topped.
