Any of you involved with one? Moved here a few months ago, and would like to get in on one, but dont know anyone out here. Ive done some day hunts, but would like to buy in on a season long lease. Anyone have any experience out here?

I can't even find a good place here in Louisiana, and I've been here my whole life. I'd love to find a 10-12 acre field to lease just for dove season.

I've got a couple of areas I go in the vicinity of grain elevators (not immediate vicinity). Sometimes WLF doesn't take too kindly to it though. Always good for at least a few doves

I would be all over a lease here in Louisiana. I have looked for years with poor results. It seems like after opening weekend people forget about dove hunting and there is limited demand...

It's legal to hunt grain bins as long as they have not been intentionally baited.

I've only been given shite by one of them, and I think it was a private property thing. It's mostly cane fields around them, and some of the farmers don't care and others don't want people on their land. Little brother got in an altercation with a cop, but I think they crossed the fence onto the grain elevator's property like dumbasses.

We called WLF a few years ago when some of my friend's grain bins got loaded w/ doves. They said if the grain that was presesnt got there in a normal agricultural practice then go for it. After about 20 minutes of shooting, some of us were illegal as shite. But it wasn't because of our proximity to the grain bins.
