Does anyone know of a decent place to get boudin along the I-20 corridor? I will be traveling through for the game in Dallas and wanted to pick up some tailgating food. I'll be taking a detour down through Natchitoches, so anywhere in that area would be fine also.

TIA.

Cormier's in Monroe makes and sells its own boudin...and it's good(he's a Lake Charles area guy), but it's not a true South La product IMO. He uses converted rice. Our Brookshire's stores carry both Savoie's and Richard's brands...I buy Richard's prtty often as the best option we have up here.

I know it won't be as good as stuff i could get in South Louisiana, but I'm looking for the best available.

Thanks for the positive answer Otis.

You can find a Brookshire's @5 or six minutes off the interstate on 18th Street. Cormier's is 2 minutes NW of there. Pretty easy on and off.
